I've been somewhat absent these days I admit, but not because I haven't done anything - I've been trying to write, with varying success. During one of these, where I was using the Kamigan from Father once more, it occurred to me that I never actually told how Kamigan look when the ninja priest owning it is not using any other power than the Kamigan itself, and, going with its Shintô theme, I went with these Japanese paper streamers that protect holy places and purify them, the shide. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shide_(S…

Dôjutsu: Kamigan [瞳術: 神眼, Eye technique: Gods’ eye]

Users:    Kirikumo clan, Hatake Kakashi, Kirikumo/Hatake clan

Description:    A Kekkei Môra (血継網羅, Bloodline Encompassing) eye tech unique to the Kirikumo clan and its branch clan, the Hatake clan. Kamigan, the eye which could tame/dominate everyone and everything (including Reijû [霊獣, Sacred Beasts], Bijû and Jinchûriki), were accidentally created by adding all other existing eye tech to the Hakkegan. Apart from holding all the other eye powers, the power unique to the Kamigan itself is the ability to literally change minds, rearranging entire personalities if one so wishes, befitting its name of the almighty kami. Such power has drawbacks, naturally – the very few Kamigan techs in existence are chakra-taxing, and often need the user to be capable of Shinjutsu in the first place.
The mind-altering power of Kamigan is depending on how many sub-abilities (the other six Dôjutsu) the user has already active and matured. The Sharingan of a Kamigan user is almost always straight-tomoe powered, most of the shapes being triangle-based. The eye is, like the basic Hakkegan, called Jewel Eye for its powerful iris colours, which are even stronger in a Kamigan, earning it the additional nickname ‘Star Eye’.
Activating it causes the eye to go through all the permutations of its active powers before settling to a either white or black (depending on iris colour) pattern resembling shide (holy paper strings) that connect pupil and iris, provided that the user does not rely on a subsidiary power.
