Fabric Art Comissions

I've decided that all the silk art I can make is well and good, but it a) doesn't pay the fabric b) I seriously can give away only so much of the stuff until it loses the novelty. But, as any other art, it only gets better if I practise, hence, I am offering commissions of the same, as well as selling pieces I made.

DeviantArt DeviantArt DeviantArt Update: I've added screen-printing to  my arsenal!DeviantArt DeviantArt DeviantArt

:skyblue-orb::skyblue-orb::skyblue-orb:For orders, simply send me a note; if you don't have your own pattern, check out my gallery for the "Silk" folder, I'll be putting up examples and patterns I planned. I will also try to keep you up to date for the work-in-progress.:skyblue-orb::skyblue-orb::skyblue-orb:

Here are the available techniques so far
Bullet; Green  Bind (Kawamaki, Komasu Nui, Rasen, Kumo) Shibori: Rasen Shibori shirt by Kamikashi Kawamaki Shibori by Kamikashi

Bullet; Blue  Continuous Stitch (Nui)/Arashi Shibori/Press (Itajime) – This may sound simple, but it needs a LOT of preparation work, namely, stitching or folding the fabric into a neat stack. Arashi Shibori by Kamikashi

Bullet; Yellow  Cold Wax/Stencils; Monochrome Screenprinting Bamboo Thicket by Kamikashi
Bullet; Red  Gutta/Yûzen (Resist-assisted silk painting), Multi-coloured Screen Printing  Poppy Scarf by Kamikashi Scarf Pattern: Diamond Madness by Kamikashi Infinity Scarf by Kamikashi Scarf Pattern: Bezier by Kamikashi

Please note that while Itajime, Arashi and Kawamaki are fairly easy to make for me, especially complicated Resist picture-like patterns (gutta/yûzen) take up several days of dedicated work to get even set up.
The Shibori and Wax prices also count if you want something made out of cotton/viscose/linen dyed (such as a t-shirt or skirt).

Here are the general pricing rules for scarves or shirts, minus shipping:
Bullet; Green (Gentleman's) Kerchief:
    Bullet; Green Pongé No 8-10, (28cm)², Resist-handpainted: 12€
Bullet; Green Cotton Batist, Linen, Shibori one or two tone, (45cm)²: 14€ Arrow Bullet (Dark Blue) - F2U! Especially good in summer when you don't want to wear a hat, this size goes well as bandana!
Bullet; Green Scarves (anything between 45cm×45cm up to 90cm×90cm/90cm×220cm):
Bullet; Green Chiffon No.6-10, Shibori, one tone or space-dyed: 20€
Bullet; Green More than one colour, two-steps or more dyed: 25€
Bullet; Green Stencil, Monochrome Screenprint: 30€
Bullet; Red Resist-assisted silk painting, full colour: 25€ (small); 45€ (large); 55€ (XXL)
Bullet; Blue Clothes
   Bullet; Blue Shirts (natural fabric)
        Bullet; Blue Shibori: 15€
Bullet; Blue Monochrome screen or stencil print: 18€
Bullet; Blue Multi-colour screen print: 20€
Bullet; Blue Skirts and trousers on demand.
Prices for pieces that are deliberately bigger than a large scarf are up to negotiation, with the prices above as basis.

Please note that I also can dye Shibori on Wool, but no Gutta/Yûzen.

I ship from Germany as regular mail and with DHL. If you want a different mailing service, please inform me in your order. Payment via PayPal or check out my wishlist.

I'm back!

Fired

1 min read
You know, when you take on a side job, you hope it will last a while, don't you?
But I got the #1 insult for mine: The day I got the copy of my contract, I also get notice that I'm fired. Only one-and-a-half months after starting it.
F*** it.
Oh well. One good thing came out of it. I finally have the courage to work in a shop, so I'll try to get a side job in the local chocolate shop ^^.

It's official. I got hooked. To Doctor Who. (I even bought the first four new series in the collector's edition. Working on getting the rest.)
And I "blame" (gladly) my bf.
But let's start at the beginning. Ever been shown a scene from an episode of a series so amazing you cannot forget it? And eventually, you give in and watch the whole damn thing? That's what happened to me - Spidy showed me the penultimate scene from Series 3 "The Family of Blood", and curious old me fell for it.
So, now I am a Whovian too, and, as to be expected, writing for it. Expect the first part soon, we raced through writing it.
